The Kimberley Land Council Research Protocol provides guidance to researchers wishing to conduct research on traditional Aboriginal lands or waters in the Kimberley, with Kimberley Traditional Owners, their representative organisations and the KLC. This protocol is consistent with the standards set out in the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Guidelines for Ethical Research in Aboriginal Studies. This protocol is also informed by the Central Land Council’s General Research Protocol.
