Visitor Management was the focus of a week-long training course with the Uungguu rangers.
The tourism course was designed to further enhance ranger’s skills in the industry, while allowing them to complete training units as part of their TAFE qualifications in Certificate II Conservation and Land Management.
The course was held on country at Ngauwudu (Mitchell Plateau) and focused on completing actions set out in the Ngauwudu Management Plan and the Uunguu Tourism Management Plan. The skills the Uungguu Rangers have gained can now be transferred to other aspects of their on country work that focuses on visitor management.
Two school-based trainees and two Kandiwal community members participated in the course with the Uungguu Rangers.
